Use the software prozilla. It is better than wget because of the 
threaded downloading and you can resume a broken download.

Only problem is there is no recursive download in prozilla ($proz). 
But for downloading the ISO you better use prozilla.

Btw. I don't think the pausing & resuming the downloads are not a 
server side solvable issue.
