PDF figures

Sure it is possible, sort of.  This assumes you have Acrobat 5.0 or
greater (not Reader).

(1) Create a Acroform button and include the pdf doc as an appearance
of that button, make the button readonly and it will appear as part
of the content of the document. I've developed these techniuques as
part of my AcroTeX eDucation Bundle.

(2) The other possibility is to convert your PDF doc into a EPS file,
this can be done by Acrobat as well. YandY can include an eps file
without problems.
