I'm certain Sue has ghostscript on her machine.    Sue... try
and open the PDF document in ghostscript, and then "print it
to an eps file"  ;-)   that might work as well...  if you are
not on a unix box and don't have   pdf2ps as a utility to
change things back again   ...
