DVIPSONE on the fritz

I renamed ATMREG.ATM to ATMREG.ATM.XX and tried DVIPSONE.  The symptoms
were duplicated: no output except a zero-byte file, and no error
messages.  If I had the format of ATMREG.ATM, I would consider writing a
program to generate it.  Any ideas, anyone?
