Hi Ross,

no, I do not use the pdfx package. The problem is that the pdfx package
loads the whole huge hyperref for inserting the XML metadata etc. If a
document is intended for prit only, hyperref makes no sense. And hyperref
sometimes causes clashes, it is necessary to use \texorpdfstring at many
places, so it requests for an additional work. In addition, when I studied
the pdfx package, the dimensions of the boxes were fixed to A4. The
dimensions of most books is A5 or B5 but I typeset also books in other
dimensions (even with square pages), different leaflets etc. Thus
zwpagelayout calculates the dimensions that are sent to PDF. In some cases
the length of the crop marks must be different for technical reasons, I
just have to use what the printer wishes. And as I found, full compliance
to PDF/X is not really needed, hence zwpagelayout implements only the
absolutely necessary features and those which are easy. If you have
suggestion for improvement, I will do it.

ArtBox is not allowed in PDF/X, the full format is MediaBox, the blue
outline correspond to the BleedBox and the green outline is the TrimBox.
These lines do not exist in the PDF and you will nor see them in other
viewers, Acrobat can display them. The display of these boxes can be
switched on/off in configuration, it is on by default.
