[UK-TUG] Discussion of motion DS1

I feel the need to make a further comment.

The statement on the TUG website:

"The TeX Users Group welcomes all donations to the TeX Development Fund. 
Development Fund accounting is separate from general TUG accounts; 
donated monies will not be used for any other purpose."

is as plain as a pikestaff. It says, quite simply, that that it is 
possible to donate to the TeX Development Fund. Such donations will be 
"welcomed".

Of course if someone chooses to donate to TUG (the organization) then 
some of the donation may go towards TUG overheads. But if someone wishes 
a donation to be used only for development purposes, one would hope that 
they would make their donation to the TeX Development Fund rather than 
to TUG (the organization).

(Although I have posted this comment as part of the discussion of motion 
DS1, it applies equally to motion HV1, as that latter motion also 
specifies that resources be donated to TUG.)
