Hi

I'm very pleased that my old friend Malcolm Jarrett will be a special guest
at tonight's UK TeX Hour. He was a Fleet Street Unix system administrator
during the transformation from Victorian hot-metal technology to PDF and
other digital technologies that took place 1985 to 2000.

For most of this time he worked for Atex, who built successful newspaper
systems based on the technology of the time, including networks of the
legendary 16-bit PDP11 minicomputer (from Digital Equipment). Beside the
technology, he'll share about economics, politics, and company and
workplace cultures of the time.

You're warmly invited to tonight's UK TeX Hour. It runs from 6:30 to 7:30pm.

Meeting ID: 857 3051 9500. Passcode: rahtz

Happy TeXing
