Subject: [tug-members] TUG logo competition: invitation to participate


The current TUG logo has been in use for many years, and it has been
drawn to the TUG Board's attention that the logo does not digitize well,
cannot easily be reproduced, and that the source for it can no longer be
located.

Bearing these disadvantages in mind, the Board has organised a
competition to design a new logo, and invites anyone interested to
participate.

Once all submissions have been received, the Board will examine each of
them critically, and if any appears significantly better than the
current logo, the Board will then select what is (in its opinion) the
best, and move a formal motion that this be adopted as the new TUG logo.
