I faced one problem in cuted.sty package. In two column document(using
book.cls),  text followed by "strip environment", the error message shows
"Improper \prevdepth". 
 
ex.
 
This is sample text.This is sample text.This is sample text.This is sample
text.This is sample text.\begin{strip}
...
\end{strip}
 
please  find and rectify this problem...
