This seems to be specific to my setup: back in October 2021, I compiled TLU from source for some testing purpose. Apparently some files where kept there (~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData), like

~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/TeX_Live_Utility-gxrykzzaewextrgfkvoavzjmborx/Build/Products/Release/TeX\ Live\ Utility.app

which is the version I tested then (1.50b1). I had no idea.
