Installation working here, apart from the fact, but that's normal, that you must proceed in several steps (for this pretest, it won't happen for release):

- Launch TLU once, allow gpg to be installed (if you so wishes).

- Get an error message that the default repository http://mirror.ctan.org/systems/texlive/tlnet cannot be used for TeX Live 2021.

- Go to the Configure menu, select Manage Repositories, add those of the pretest repositories listed at https://www.tug.org/texlive/mirmon/ that you plan to use.

- Double-click one and let the updates be applied. Quite a number of them: critical update, then 77 normal updates. All applied successfully.

come from. They seem harmless anyway.


- TLU has updated its progress indicator (in the "URL" field) to match that in Safari (a progressing blue line at he bottom of the field). Thanks Adam!


- All four GUI apps provided or referenced in MacTeX (TeXShop, TLU, LaTeXiT, BibDesk) are now universal. Very cool! Who said TeX is a thing of the past? Thanks to all the developers for their hard work!
