That is my wild guess, too, but I have no strange versions:
m4: 1.4.13
sed: 4.2.1
bash: 4.0.28(1)-release
automake 1.11
autoconf 2.64

looks not too different from what you have.

Anyway ... most important is that we have something that builds.
