[texworks] Call for Help: Testing

My thanks to you both, but sadly I am no further forward.  I have set 
max to 3 (still reported same thing), added to "trusted sites" (– ditto 
–) and finally tried using "http" rather than "https", at which point 
Malwarebytes (which I trust implicitly) warns me :

/because/ I am using Windows 7 (and will continue to do so until 
Microsoft once again offer a /professional/ GUI rather than one aimed 
primarily at schoolchildren and mobile 'phone addicts).  May I ask if 
either of you (Stefan, Paul) are able to test this link /from Windows 
7/, and if so, and if you achieve success, using which browser ?  My 
preferred browser is Seamonkey (latest version) with fallback Firefox — 
I use neither Google Chrome nor Microsoft IE/Edge.

May I respectfully ask, are we /really/ dependent on being able to 
access nightly.link ?  Is there no other mechanism that could be used ?
