Dear Phil,

Unfortunately, I have no control over the nightly server, so I can't do
anything about it on that side. However, I have found a website
[https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/ssl_error_rx_record_too_long/]
discussing this issue and possibilities on your (client) side that could
maybe remedy this.
But, in any case, TeXworks 0.6.9 has since been released, so you should
be able to get it via
https://github.com/TeXworks/texworks/releases/tag/release-0.6.9 (I still
have to update the website, though).

All the best,
Stefan
