Dear Rick,

I tried double-clicking a simple *.tex document that worked last weekend and I also tried starting TeXworks from the MS-Windows start menu. This could be related to https://github.com/TeXworks/texworks/issues/904
which should be fixed in the latest development version (see

HTH,
Stefan
Thanks for the information. TeXworks is fine again for me.
What got it to work this time was renaming
C:\Users\Rick\.texlive2021\texmf-config\texworks\TUG\TeXworks.ini
to have it recreate this file.
Thanks,
