That feature already exists (though, admittedly, it's rather well
hidden). Go to Edit > Preferences... > Typesetting, select the
processing tool of your choice and click "Edit...". In the dialog that
opens up, uncheck "View PDF after running". This prevents Tw from
opening/focusing the PDF view after typesetting with the selected tool.
If the PDF is already open, it should still detect the changes on the
harddisk and refresh.
