For those wanting to try an up-to-date binary on Mac OS, I have just
posted a new build (svn r.327) on the Google Code downloads page:
http://code.google.com/p/texworks/downloads/list
This should be very close to the version that will go into the MacTeX
2009 release, though there are still a few bug-fixes I'd like to get
done, so don't consider it "final". However, testing would be very
much appreciated, as this build is quite different from any I've made
before: it is a standalone .app package that does not require any Qt
files installed into /Library/Frameworks, or other libraries into /usr/
local/lib. So it should be able to run directly on any current Mac
system with no installation process: just copy the .app to anywhere
you like, and run it.
(This is built on 10.5 Intel, as that's the only system I have; AFAIK,
it should run on 10.5 PPC, and it might also work on 10.4 but I have
no way of testing this.)
