Hi Alan,

I meant a pre-LMTX version, like MkIV, in case the problem is caused by the rewriting of SyncTeX in LuaMetaTeX.

But you're right, this is probably a dead end and not the proper explanation anyway (Dick says in CommentLines.pdf he implemented useConTeXtSyncParser in 2021).
