Sorry, I missed this. It seems that TL-2003 is broken on one machine.
It is very unlikely that it is a Windows issue.
There are 3 ways to solve the problem:
1. Install TL-2003 again. If disk space doesn't matter, make a
full install.
2. Install TL-2007, download from ftp://tug.org/texlive/Images .
3. Use kpsewhich to find out which file is missing.
Debugging is quite difficult because of the completely braindead
warning message:
> "Warning: pdflatex.exe (file ugqb8r): Font ugqb8r at 720 not found"
There is definitely no file "ugqb8r" in TeXLive and there is
definitely no scalable font "at 720". If a font "at 720" is not found
I guess that there is something wrong with the map file and *.mf files
are assumed. But then I'd expect that metafont complains.
But what is "file ugqb8r"?
And why is this a warning and not an error message? Where does it
come from?
BTW, people who ask questions on various mailing lists are often
blamed for not providing enough information. But quite often, if
people provide more details, nobody responds.
Did anybody notice that the warning message is ***completely***
useless?
Regards,
Reinhard

Microsoft isn't the answer. Microsoft is the question, and the answer is NO.
