We did in fact try this, cutting the title out of the title{} field and 
putting it in the author{} field.  Led to some humerous results, such as 
the reference entitled "The Stalinist Era" being cited in-text as (Era, 
Christopher W. Ryan, MD
SUNY Upstate Medical University Clinical Campus at Binghamton
and Wilson Family Practice Residency, Johnson City, NY
