[texhax] Looking for a LaTex "nearly visual" editor

Hi all,

Someone recommend me to use `lyx', but I found it very
strange for at least two reasons:
1. When I import a `.tex' file (article class), lyx
thow away my preamble.
2. It's so painful like WinWord when I try to insert
math formula.

Coul anyone tell me a better editor. Btw, I am using
vim to write .tex file. It's nite for short reports,
but for longer ones -> not so happy.
