[texhax] Repeated ftp access failures .........

I just ordered a Membership package including the CD-ROM's
for TeX Live:

'My submission was made Sun Aug 17 23:16:14 CEST 2003'

But-

While I'm waiting <ggg> I attempted, repeatedly to download
Gerben Wierda's i-Installer :

   < ftp://ftp.nluug.nl/pub/comp/macosx/volumes/ii2/II2.dmg >

I even ( See page 400, Mac OS X Jaguar:Complete Reference:
Using Passive FTP for Sharing ) reversed my default FTP setting
to see if that helped. It did not.

I attempted this only because, rather than engaging the Mac
'Download Manager', a message at the bottom of Explorer
indicated 'Passive' mode in progress???

Granted, since 1969, when I worked for the ( then) Photolettering
Division of the Electrographic Corporation, Great-Great Parent of
what is now known as the International Typeface Corporation, I've
been working with IBM ( DOS & Windows-based ) PC's, and only
weeks ago switched to Power Mac's ( a G3 v.2.2 'Blue & White' &
a G4 v.3.3 'Chromed Drive-Bay')-

But I really am curious .........

Any thoughts?
