I disagree with both of you! Ok, so should we get rid of arara, latexmk,
and maybe hundreds of other packages, too?

We don't distribute java, there are many other Python programs that are
very useful.

That is not an argument. And putting the script into pypi is nice, but
nobody in the TeX world will probably find it, while including it in TeX
Live is natural.
