I see. And there is not an explicit recommendation on whether to use it
or not (I mean, here: http://search.cpan.org/dist/Tk/pod/exit.pod).

May I ask Solaris people to test if tlmgr gui crashes in the same way as
mine? Start pretest tlmgr gui and try to load the default repo.
(Just curious.)
