yes, I understood that. But I thought that a friendly CTAN-uploader
provides both a package.tds.zip and package directory.
I appreciate your wanting to be a good citizen-uploader :).
However, the truth is, there is no reason for you to worry about
.tds.zip. It is far more likely to cause problems than to solve them.
So, please forget about it, unless you really want to care for these
ultra-picky details. If you do, write me privately and we can discuss.
As for the package directory on CTAN, the best thing to deal with, for a
package like splitindex with only a few files, is one flat directory
with no subdirectories. That's it. Couldn't be simpler :).
