Add line 169 to the first output routine of the \inx macro:

168 \output{\ifpagesaved\normaloutput{\box\sbox}\lheader\rheader\fi
169        \mark{\topmark}
170        \global\setbox\sbox=\page \global\pagesavedtrue}
