    Karl, once the patterns are in TeX Live, 

Updated from CTAN for tonight's build.

    we need to add a new packgage for Ethiopic patterns 
    and start with incorporation of pTeX patterns
    (change entries in language.ptx to start with). 

Ok.  Do you want to take care of these things, at your convenience?

    (no need for simultaneous changes).

Always a good thing.
