Hello TeX folk,
First, submissions for the next TUGboat (44:3) are welcome and encouraged;
the deadline is October 15. Author info:
https://tug.org/TUGboat/location.html
Also, the latest TUGboat issue (44:2, the TUG'23 conference proceedings)
was mailed some time ago, and should be in most people's mailboxes by
now, for those getting physical issues. If you haven't received it yet,
please give it another week or two and then contact the TUG office
(office at tug.org) for a replacement if needed.
Second, upcoming meetings:
- TUG 2024 will take place in Prague (Czech Republic), summer 2024, with
Tom Hejda leading the local organization. We are still in the early
stages of planning the meeting. When available, dates and all else will
be posted at https://tug.org/tug2024/ and other usual places.
- the next GUT annual meeting will take place on November 18 in Paris,
with a day of talks and discussions.

December 1 and December 2 at Stanford about non-Latin typography and
more. Chuck Bigelow is the keynote speaker. The event is free, but
pre-registration is required (list of talks is also on this page):

We do not know if the conference will be streamed or recorded.

April 2024. When available, info will be posted at

And third, a notable book is about to be published: Shift Happens, by
Marcin Wichary, a two-volume opus about the history of keyboards. More
info and an interview here:
