[OS X TeX] Latex file locks

Aha. Done.

The file I tested is a TeX file created 20 years ago. It did have this attribute, with the 04 you report, but no 06. I'm willing to bet the 06 was the problem.

If you ever find out how that attribute was created, let us all know.
