There are cheap adapters for the displays and you certainly could use your old Cinema display. The new Mac minis are very nice machines and tomorrow is Black Friday. I guess for your old software that wouldn't run on Mojave there will exist current alternatives.

That's a min/max problem though and I have always hated them. Both in mathematics and in real life. :-))
On ebay I can find a 2012 mac mini with Mojave on it for about $300. I would probably get something a bit more recent but, for instance, do I really want Mojave. And what will my two screens work with? One is a cheap Raean but the other is a ... Cinema! How can I junk that? Etc, etc.
Anyway, I knew the odds were that 10.6.8 wouldn't last me the rest of my life. So, thanks again for the oh so discrete prodding.
