[OS X TeX] latexit anomaly explained

Hello.

This is a note to thank you all for the advice about latexit's  
different behavior on two macs, both running 10.4.2.  It turned out  
that the issue was *hardware*  --  one of the macs had a faulty usb  
port. Well, now that's fixed and things are working fine.  Even drag  
and drop directly onto the artboard of Illustrator 10.0.3 works now.   
(Actually, that's a positive difference between the two setups, but  
who's complaining?)
