[OS X TeX] Can't get either TeX4ht or TeX and GhostScript to work with latest TeXShop

I think you might be using an older TeXShop and you have the "keep PS
file" checkbox checked. Uncheck it and it may work.
Secondly, try the command line
simpdftex latex --maxpfb yourfilename.tex
If that works, the problem lies in your frontend.
