[Alphatk has been observed to work fine with tetex, but not with oztex]
James, Michael, (and the list)
Thanks to James sending some more info, I understand the problem. I need
to look into this a bit more to know just how to solve it.
Currently Alphatk will only cooperate with command-line TeX tools (via
'exec'). It contains all the functionality to cooperate with TeX tools
(like OzTeX) via apple-events (just like Alpha on classic does), but there
is an issue about how to switch between the two, and how to know which of
the two to use!
I will be looking into this asap. There are a few things you could try
which might fix this for you straightaway:
(1) Manually set 'texSig' to the 4-character application signature of OzTeX
(in the Tcl shell), and then try again.
(2) If that fails, set a trace (using the Alpha Developer menu) on
'evalTeXScript' and try again -- use 'dump traces' and see if the trace
tells you anything useful.
cheers,
Vince.
