[latexrefman] jobname

I understand this to be that \usepackage{} contains an \input command.  But we are now far beyond my competence.  :-)

Hello Jim,

I tried this :

pdflatex '\documentclass{article}\usepackage{lipsum}\input titi'

and the jobname was named texput, not titi. I tried both with MiKTeX
and TeXLive.

the content of titi.tex was just this :

\begin{document}
Bonjour \lipsum[1]
\end{document}


So it seems this has changed again … It is as if the \documentclass
command is doing something that freezes the jobname to its current
value so that subsequent \input cannot change it.
