Sorry to take so long to respond - I didn't make it to work Monday due to
a snowstorm.
With no texexec.ini, the job fails to find cont-en.fmt (in texmf-var)
after perl has wasted 4 minutes looking for a "texexec.ini":
TeXExec 4.0 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 1997-2003
warning : texexec.ini not found, try 'texexec --verbose'
removed: exit 1 [my comment]
executable : tex
format : cont-en
inputfile : cont-story
output : standard
interface : en
current mode : none
TeX run : 1
This is TeXk, Version 3.141592 (Web2c 7.5.2)
%&-line parsing enabled.
(c:/TL2003/texmf/web2c/cp8bit.tcx)
Sorry, I can't find the format `cont-en.fmt'; will try `tex.fmt'.
(./cont-story.tex
! Undefined control sequence.
