I've recently installed the latest beta of windvi on two machines,
one running Windows 98 and one running NT. (I simply unzipped the
distribution over a well running, and reasonably up to date (perhaps
not completely the latest) version of fptex.)
One both machines the program failed to even start each time
returning an access violation. I include details of the Dr
Watson report for the NT machine (Service Pack 3) below.
I'm currently using pdf almost exclusively so don't have a pressing
need for windvi, but would be happy to investigate further if it would
help. Otherwise I'll just wait for the next version.
