Hi, Those of you who are experiencing GPF when doing 'File->Open' can try: ftp://ftp.ese-metz.fr/pub/TeX/win32-beta/windvi56b.exe I have fixed at least some case where it was happening. This is a debug version of windvi.exe only. It is slower than the optimized one. But I hope that the failure reports will be useful to find where it is core dumping. Thanks for your tests, Fabrice
