[dvipdfmx] Problem with dvipdfmx finding font files

Hi,
in the last weeks I have a recurrent problem: dvipdfmx will not recognize fonts in pdftex.map and
will exit with a fatal error:

dvipdfmx:warning: Could not locate a virtual/physical font for TFM "xydash10".

dvipdfmx:fatal: Cannot proceed without .vf or "physical" font for PDF output...
No output PDF file written.
The font mentioned is listed as follows in the pdftex.map file:
xydash10 XYDASH10 </hom/yannis/texmf-static/fonts/pfb/XYDASH10.PFB
I checked, the font is there, and kpsewhich sees it:
kpsewhich XYDASH10.PFB
/hom/yannis/texmf-static/fonts/pfb/XYDASH10.PFB
I'm using the following version of dvipdfmx:

When I remove the font from the list in pdftex.map, then some other font is missing. Everything worked fine a few weeks ago…
