I don't know how to reconcile these two statements regarding antiqua.sty.
By the way, the properties of the PDF state that the file was created on 9
April 2021.

I'd say that Paulo is not at fault for relying on the example
file antiqua.tex in the Font Catalog, as an example of how to use antiqua.
By the way, a search for antiqua.sty produces a 2020 Q + A that mentions a
support file on fontsite.com, that is no longer available.
