That solves the problem completely. Sorry, I've been terribly busy (and  
will be until the end of this month) and didn't monitor the list  
closely enough. I remembered vaguely seeing a posting mentioning the  
issue of missing \relax'es, but couldn't trace it back, and couldn't  
remember whether the changes had been incorporated into the latest  
release of utf8accents.sty.
