Footnotes

... ``scriptographical''2
Original German adj. `schriftbildnerisch'. Prof. Grimm uses the noun `Schriftbildnerei' as a synonym for `Schriftkunst,' when speaking of his works--it helps avoid the common misinterpretation of the latter term as `calligraphy'. The adj. form - `scriptographical' - therefore, would mean `related to scriptual art'.
