Dear Christina,
         Thanks for the suggestions on why dviwindo produces
zero-length ps files.
         Looking at the log in dviwindo.ini was no help. This is the
relevant section of the log:
LastPrinter=HP LaserJet 2200 Series PS (Copy 1),winspool,FILE:
LastDVIPSONE=DVIPSONE -v -d=c:\papers\template.ps c:\papers\template.dvi
PassThrough_Used=PASSTHROUGH
ProcSetFile=C:\yandy\DVIPSONE\dvipream.enc
BadFont0=Face Name: @Meiryo,REGULAR Full Name: Meiryo
BadFont1=Face Name: @Meiryo,ITALIC Full Name: Meiryo Italic
BadFont2=Face Name: @Meiryo,BOLD Full Name: Meiryo Bold
BadFont3=Face Name: @Meiryo,BOLDITALIC Full Name: Meiryo Bold Italic
BadFont4=Face Name: @MingLiU,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
BadFont5=Face Name: @MingLiU-ExtB,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
BadFont6=Face Name: @MingLiU_HKSCS,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
BadFont7=Face Name: @MingLiU_HKSCS-ExtB,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
BadFont8=Face Name: @PMingLiU,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
BadFont9=Face Name: @PMingLiU-ExtB,REGULAR Full Name: MingLiU & PMingLiU
         I haven't the faintest idea what the BadFont lines refer to,
but I get them whether or not dviwindo produces proper output.
.
         However, if I uncheck "use dviwindo" and enter the filename
manually, that works! Weird.

Best, and thanks,

Herb Gintis
