[yandytex] item bullets in Lucida became tiny

I'm using Y&Y's Lucida family of fonts in Y&Y TeX along with the same 
lucidabr support package I've used for years, so far as I am aware.  Yet 
  now when I LaTeX a document with an itemized environment, the bullets 
for the items appear in dviwindo, and in the dvipsone-printed copy as 
very tiny -- just the size of a period (but raised on the line).

What could be different?  How can I fix this?
