Fonts from Mac to Linux (was Y & Y - are they still alive ?)

I don't have such experience, but the only crucial issue is
whether you succed to obtain the font files in .PFB (or .PFA)
format, which suits non-Mac systems.  Everything else that's
required to make the Lucida Bright fonts work, is available
from CTAN:  Font metrics, virtual fonts, and fd files reside
in the directory fonts/metrics/bh/lucida; the macros are
available from macros/latex/contrib/psnfssx.

I hope very much that BlueSky (or someone else) takes over
the distribution of the Lucida Fonts for non-Mac systems.
Not having these fonts available any longer would constitute
a great loss for the TeX world!
