lucida bright does not disply ff in pdflatex

Hi

I am using pdftex to produce 1.4 pdf file and my
document will not print or display the ff (e.g in the
word differences). Or if you know of another font that
looks good in pdf it would be appreciated.



I am using the following software and commands

\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage{lucida}

pdftex --version
