[XeTeX] Microtype and XeTeX on Linux

Hey,

I'm attempting to get microtype working on my Linux box. I've downloaded and
installed the preliminary
package<http://xetex.tk/mediawiki/index.php/Microtype_package_(preliminary_version)>
but
when I attempt to compile a document with the package included, I get the
following error message:

Package microtype Warning: You are using a xetex version older than
0.9997. `microtype' does not work with this version. Please install a newer
version of xetex. I will quit now.

I have visited the XeTeX
homepage<http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=xetex>
but
the 'latest version' described there, 0.999.6, was released in 2008. Where
can I find the most up to date version of XeTeX for Linux?
