[XeTeX] \textsuperscript and polyglossia

It is working here, for instance with:

\documentclass[11pt,oneside]{memoir}
\usepackage{bidi}
\usepackage{polyglossia}
\setmainlanguage{english}
\setotherlanguage[variant=ancient]{greek}
\usepackage{fontspec} 
\newfontfamily\greekfont[Scale=MatchLowercase]{GraecaUBSU Italic}
\begin{document}
\begin{greek}
\greekfont\textsuperscript{1}Καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ γάμος ἐγένετο ἐν Κανὰ τῆς Γαλιλαίας, καὶ ἦν ἡ μήτηρ τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐκεῖ· \textsuperscript{2}ἐκλήθη δὲ καὶ ὁ Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸν γάμον.
