Hi,
I was going to install xetex in my system for writing Persian in latex.
I install it without any problem in livetex2008, but I found I can't
write Persian, and I should install livetex2008.
I install livetex2008 without any problem, and I run "sh build-xetex"
and it finished without any problem, after that I tried to run "sh
install-xetex" as root, but I got these error messages:
.....
//usr/local/texlive/2008/bin/i386-linux/fmtutil: line 316: 5689
Aborted ${1+"$@"}
Error: `xetex -ini -jobname=xelatex -progname=xelatex -etex
xelatex.ini' failed

fmtutil: Error! Not all formats have been built successfully.
Visit the log files in directory
/usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-var/web2c
for details.
###############################################################################
This is a summary of all `failed' messages and warnings:
`xetex -ini -jobname=xelatex -progname=xelatex -etex xelatex.ini' failed/
(full log is attached)
I run them in Debian(lenny version).
Should I do something else?
Could you please help me?
Thanks.
