It's unclear to me what parts of the .xdv file I can chop out and still get
xdvipdfmx to work on it?  I chopped off the last 100 or so lines, but got
the ff. error:

** ERROR ** Something is wrong. Are you sure this is a DVI file?

Output file removed.

Can I safely chop stuff out of the middle?
