Yes, I am the current mainainer of ledmac bundle. I will upload an update to
CTAN probably by next month to fix the existing bugs.

About the mailing list, I think that is a very good idea. I will ask Karl
Berry if he could probably gives us a mailing list and an information page
like the one xypic or tex4ht have.
